Health Beliefs of K-12 Superintendents and Teachers
Across the State of Minnesota
Overview and Background:
Due to an inspiration from how well the Nay Ah Shing study is going (on previous tab), we decided to begin spreading the active curriculum project state wide. Our first step is to conduct a needs-assessment by surveying the teachers and administrators in the state of Minnesota. We created a 13 question survey to assess what superintendents and teachers believe are the highest concerns among students, their beliefs about physical activity, and whether or not they would be interested in implementing physical activity into their schools and classrooms. This survey has been sent to approximately 1,500 teachers as well as all of the superintendents in the state. This summer, focus groups will be put together in order to begin moving forward.

To the right is just an example of one of the questions we asked the superintendents and teachers.
